West Wales Ambulance Officer, Warren, has been helping to raise funds for the West Wales Ambulance service at Carew Car Boot Sales on Sunday mornings.
The service usually raises funds by public donations and services, but, when not working at events, on Sundays Warren is selling donated items at Carew Car Boot Sales in a bid to boost much-needed funds. First aid supplies and services are also available at the stall.
West Wales Ambulance is a free, non-profit-making community based organisation covering events over the UK, including movie sets. Their First Aid Service is their priority service, which is free, they are neither NHS nor government funded. The organisation relies on public service support and exists to aid the sick, whoever they are.
In addition to this, the service trains local community people to use the defibrillators in their areas, free of charge, up to 12 people, and certificate them. The course includes full resuscitation and how to use defibrillator; this is a practical, hands on course.
You can’t miss Warren at the car boot sales as he sets the stall up in front of an ambulance, and he’s in uniform.
The public are urged to support this cause, so please pay a visit to Carew Car Boot Sales on Sundays to buy a bargain, make a donation or seek first aid support.
Carew Car Boot Sale and Market are located just off the A477 roundabout. They are open every Sunday, from 6am, whatever the weather, including Bank Holiday Mondays.
