The award-winning Tenby Golf Club has been a symbol of tradition and excellence in Pembrokeshire for almost 140 years. The club has been a popular destination for golf enthusiasts for many years – until now, however, it has only been accessible to members.
In an exciting development, the club is ready to unlock a new chapter in its storied history. This October, the club will unveil its £1.7 million transformation that promises to breathe fresh life into the local community and create fresh opportunities.
As part of its enhancements, members and the public will soon be able to enjoy new facilities amid the stunning scenery.
These include a brand-new community space, new 4-star guest rooms and restaurant to make sure visitors have an enjoyable experience – whether they’re enjoying a round of golf, or a round at the bar.
Introducing a taste of excellence
A standout feature of the expansion is the Links, a distinguished dining establishment to delight the taste buds.
The culinary mastermind behind this gastronomic adventure is none other than Duncan Barham. Renowned for his culinary prowess as the former Head Chef of Tenby’s celebrated Salt Cellar restaurant, Duncan is making a delightful comeback to the local restaurant scene.

Pembrokeshire has almost everything when it comes to produce; fantastic seafood, organically grown vegetables, slow-reared cattle, wild game, fresh dairy, seasonal fruit, and that’s just within a few miles of the restaurant. Expect to see menus that showcase the best of what’s on offer locally.

Those seeking a casual retreat can step into the 19th Hole for a warm welcome. Open all day, this new coffee lounge and bar offers a wide variety of light bites, as well as a hearty golfer’s breakfast and a formidable selection of post-course tipples.
The Links and the 19th Hole are open to both members and the public for bookings from Saturday 14 October.
A blissful night’s sleep
Tenby Golf Club has transformed its accommodation to give golfers, groups and leisure guests a memorable stay.
Leisure guests can now enjoy panoramic views of the town, dunes, and fairways from 10 new 4-star rooms at The Dunes. Located on the upper level of the club, these luxurious rooms offer direct access to the South Beach.
For the ultimate stay and play experience, an extra five Dormy rooms have been converted into twin rooms, providing a total of 12 twin rooms for golfing visitors to stay in comfort.
Bookings are now open for The Dunes 4-star accommodation and for golfing stays at Dormy House.
A space for all
Both members and the public can enjoy the new club and society space at Tenby Golf Club. This versatile space is open for guests to book for a variety of activities and social events.
In the spirit of progress, the club has also added new car parking facilities for the convenience of customers, complete with four EV charging points. This sustainable approach ensures that everyone can enjoy the club’s offerings while minimising the environmental impact.
“
Our vision for this redevelopment is to create an exceptional destination that merges our long-established passion for golf with unmatched dining and hospitality experiences and being able to share these with our members, visitors, and the local community. We would like to welcome everyone to this exciting new chapter.
Nick Gregg, Chair of the Board of Tenby Golf Club
