Tenby Sailing Club is hosting the Merlin Rocket National Championships this week, with racing every day up until Friday, August 16.
The event started on Saturday, with 71 boats entering and 142 crew members, and racing every day from 12 noon, and at 11am on Friday if you want to catch the boats heading out from the harbour.
“It’s a massive undertaking for the club. It was no mean feat that the Sailing Club volunteers managed to receive so successfully all the visitors, place the dinghies, and remove all the trailers with very limited space in the harbour to manoeuvre and limited access during pedestrianisation,” said a spokesperson for the Club.
65 boats made it to the start line on Sunday, with racing completed by 3.30pm, giving crews time to put their boats away and then join in with the many other visitors as the first Summer Spectacular got underway in the harbour, hosted by Tenby Round Table.
