Junior Training: Today, April 3, at 6pm, Alistar Mackay and Harrison Richards are registering any interested youngsters, aged eight and above, for weekly Royal Yachting Association (RYA) sail training sessions throughout the season.
There will be a further opportunity to register on Wednesday, April 10.
Dinghy Racing: Nina Marsh and Amelia Nuttall are down in Weymouth for the RYA Youth National Championships from March 30 to April 5. Over 300 competitors in six classes are battling it out at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy over five days. The girls are sailing in the female ILCA 6 class which has 19 entries. Good results can lead to selection for the Youth Sailing World Championships in Lake Garda this July.
Next Saturday, April 6, the Tenby Sailing Club racing calendar opens with three races to compete for the Doctor White Cup. The season will continue with two races every Saturday, the first one starting at 3pm, and one race on Tuesday evenings starting at 6.30pm.
Cruiser Racing: Cruiser racing starts on Saturday May 4. The annual lifting-in of the Caldey boats, cruisers, and other craft, is on Wednesday, April 10.
