Dinghy racing results for July 11 for Tenby Sailing Club were as follows:

1, Peter Rose & Igor Otahal; 2, Peter Raimbault; 3, Steve Leach; 4, Robin Wood & Tim Griffiths; 5, David Plester. A fast race sailed in a force 3/4 wind. Race Officers, Al, Yan, and Alistair.

Gale force winds resulted in the cancellation of Saturday’s races.

Cruiser racing: With unsettled weather conditions, just two Cruisers took part in last Wednesday’s race. Aries led to Giltar sailing with two reefs in the mainsail, but Seren , with only one reef, overhauled her on the downwind leg to North High Cliff.

Seren, sailed by Phil Rees and Chris Hill maintained her lead to the finish. Aries, sailed by Steve (Sago) Lewis, Carolinda Phillips, and Billy Stubbs was not far behind, both Crews enjoyed the 45 minute race in the SW force 5 wind and some big waves.

Saturday’s race was postponed until Sunday, when the same two Yachts reversed fortunes, sailing on a similar course, with Aries beating Seren after another bracing 45 minute race.

The next Cruiser race is scheduled for Monday, July 24 at 10 am.
