Tenby Sailing Club helped out with provision of Safety Rhibs at a squad training session hosted by Saundersfoot Sailing Club for the 29er Class at the weekend. These two man skiffs were designed as a feeder class to the Olympic 49er.
Dinghy Racing: For Nina Marsh, Jon and Amelia Nuttall, last weekend was the final one of the Welsh ILCA Squad training at Tata Steel in a bracing 20 knot Westerly breeze. The girls will be down in Weymouth again to compete in the RYA Youth National Championships from March 30 to April 5, sailing ILCA 6 lasers. Good luck girls.
On Saturday April 6 the Tenby Sailing Club racing calendar opens with three races to compete for the Doctor White Cup. The season will continue with two races every Saturday, the first one starting at 3pm, and one race on Tuesday evenings starting at 6.30pm.
Cruiser Racing: Starts on Saturday May 4. The annual Lifting-in of the Caldey Boats, Cruisers, and other craft, is on Wednesday April 10.
The Clubhouse will host the Ex-Commodores Quiz on Saturday April 6 at 8pm.
Junior Training: Spaces are still available for any youngsters over the age of 8 to learn Sailing skills. Registration is next Wednesday, April 3, at 6pm, and again on Wednesday, April 10. Further information available on www.tenbysailing club.org
