Sapphires Tenby Netball Club are extremely excited to announce the club’s new sponsors - Twelve, Saltys and Celvac – who have funded match dresses for all junior teams through to senior development teams.
As with all grassroots clubs, sponsorship is invaluable at Tenby Netball Club and it is thanks to the generosity of these companies that over 50 players can wear match dresses and continue to represent the club in league games and at regional tournaments.
Theses dresses will not only ensure the teams look professional on court but will contribute to the team ethic and real enjoyment as the teams play and compete during future events.
As a Club which has been going for 11 years with over 150 members, it was extremely important to work with businesses local to Tenby who align with the cCub’s core community values.
Club chairman Jen Losada said: “We would like to thank Twelve, Saltys and Celvac for their generous sponsorship, providing over 50 dresses for our junior and senior development teams.
“It has been fantastic working with Sian and Tom in designing the dresses. As a club we are overwhelmed to have Tenby businesses support our ever expanding community of netball.”
The Club has achieved great success already this season and in previous seasons – with the Under 12s team being currently undefeated, coming top of the Pembrokeshire tournament recently and heading to regional championships in May.
The Under 16s team are also undefeated for the past two years and are also representing Pembrokeshire in the regionals in March.
This sponsorship provides key support and a boost that the girls will need when wearing these dresses. The Club is also extremely pleased to say that several of its players are representing the Club at the West Wales Netball Trials, with other players having previously represented West Wales.
“As a family netball has been a huge part of our lives,” said sponsors the Beynon family; with Celvac represented by Joan Beynon, Kim Beynon and Claire Gotwaltz; and Twelve and Salty’s by Sian and Tom Beynon.
“We felt that rugby and football always seemed to be very well supported by local businesses so we decide to become the first sponsors of Tenby Netball Club.
“We also realised that in these hard times we wanted to help Jen and her team, so they wouldn’t have to pass the cost of kit on to any of the families.
“We are all very proud to be part of such a successful club and we hope to build together in the future.
“A huge thank you to Jen, Nia and the rest of the team for creating a fantastic club for girls of all age to come and learn a fantastic sport. The standard of coaching is very high and professional.
“We would also like to congratulate Lili on representing West Wales girls in Bangor.
“The tournament was excellent and we are all very proud of what you have achieved. It wouldn’t have been possible without Jen and the rest of the netball club.”
