Last Sunday, the South Pembs. Wildcats Under 9s travelled to Burry Port to play tag rugby in a tournament organised by the Stradey Sospans, the Llanelli-based girls cluster.
Despite the heat, it was so lovely to see the girls putting what they have learnt in training into a game situation. They all worked so well together, had a great team spirit and sportsmanship. Great effort by all of them!
Thank you to the parents for making the journey on a sunny hot Sunday morning and thanks to coach Sian!
The Under 11s have been busy and have played two games. The first was a home fixture against Cleddau Wildcats on Wednesday evening and the second they participated in the tournament in Burry Port on Sunday. In all of their games, which were in extremely hot ‘muggy’ conditions, they played skilful exciting rugby under the watchful eye of their coaches Emma and Leila. Well done girls, fantastic tagging and running. Thank you to those parents who made the journey to Burry Port.
The Under 13s also travelled to Burry Port for their tournament on Sunday. They played five games in total- they won three, drew one and lost one, to a well-established Stradey Sospans girls cluster group. Coaches Jamie and Tom were very proud of their efforts in every game- showing how they have made huge improvements with their rugby skills. Well done girls! Thank you also to the parents for driving to Burry Port and then Primark!
