PEMBROKE DOCK MARINERS 94

ST. THOMAS, HAVERFORDWEST 76

The Mariners continued their winning ways on Saturday when they entertained St Thomas (writes J.A.).

Gerard Thomas's rink led from the start to win 24-18.

Despite a blip at the start, Gert Gelderblom's rink recovered by the fourth end to build up a steady lead to take the game 23-15.

Yet again Graham Bann's rink had the best result of the day, taking the kitty and winning 26-13.

Dave Halward's rink were less fortunate against Len Hoad's foursome. Trailing by 17 shots at the 12th end, they then fought back to end the game 21-30, thereby enabling Mariners to win the match.

After the match, captain John Arman welcomed new member Archie Greaves and wished him every success with the club.

He also welcomed back Arthur Kilshaw who had undergone major surgery during the winter.
