This year’s Ladies Captain at Tenby Golf Club, Sarah Waring has chosen Tenby RNLI as her charity.
Sarah was born and bred in Tenby. Although she was always keen on sport, she took up golf just a few years ago.
However, to date Sarah has been successful winning the Bronze Scratch Cup and also claiming a hole in one on the sixth.
She also enjoys representing Tenby Ladies in league and cup matches.
Sarah is very proud that the Ladies Section is thriving due to ‘New to Golf’ incentives. Sarah is looking forward to the reopening of the clubhouse at Tenby GC following completion of the major redevelopment.
As with most golfers, Sarah finds golf to be very frustrating at times but, whether her round is good, bad or indifferent, she always returns for more.
Sarah’s Ladies Captain’s Day will be held on Thursday, July 27. Her nominated charity is the RNLI Tenby Branch – both her husband Mac and her son Jack are members of the local lifeboat crew.
