Dave Griffiths and Maurice Clarke ‘Seized the Week’ in Osprey 1365 - a great result after a tremendous week’s sailing with fifty-two dinghies competing in Saundersfoot.
Dave is a member of both Saundersfoot and Tenby Sailing Clubs. Tenby’s Sailing Captain Dan Jackson and Matthew Goldwait in Osprey 1360 took 3rd place. Well done both crews.
At home, three dinghy races were sailed on Saturday 3rd June in a light SE breeze with plenty of sunshine.

At the same time the Cruiser Passage Race from Hobb’s Point (Pembroke Dock) to Tenby concluded after more than seven hours sailing against the light wind.
Five boats took part, with three finishers and two retirements. Dave Yeomans in his Yacht ‘Equous’ was 1st, with ‘Diadema’ 2nd, and ‘Miss Tiggywinkle’ 3rd. The retiring boats were ‘Altensa’ and ‘Pipit’. Howard and Maggie from Pembroke Haven Yacht Club were the race officers.
The next Tenby Cruiser races are scheduled for Friday at 10 am and Saturday at 10.30 am.

The dinghy fleet is losing one of its regular Osprey sailors this week. Jaime Bohata, wife Hanna, and two children are setting off on an extended cruise in their Yacht from Dale this weekend.
