Saundersfoot Bowling Club held another successful Open Tournament week which concluded last Friday with two singles and a pairs final.
With bowlers from many counties and clubs participating and with £1150 prize money to be won, there was plenty of bowling of a high standard on view.
The Osbourne Trophy singles was won for the fourth time by David Kingdon of Tenby; the Poole Bowl pairs by Jordan Driscoll and Gavin Rees of the Graig Merthyr Club; and the Plate event by Neil Rees of Llanelli.
At the presentation ceremony, Paul Blayney who was overseeing his fourteenth open competition, firstly thanked the sponsors - Neil Duffy, Andrew Edge, Steve Cole, John and Steph Amos and Simon and Vicky Tucker, whose contributions were invaluable.
He then thanked those who had entered the event and marked games and who had attended to support the players, the ladies of the club for catering throughout the week, for those who donated raffle prizes, George and Mary Cavell for their donation and bar manager John Amos and helpers for busily serving drinks every day.
Paul made special mention of Steph Amos, Kath Blayney and John Amos who had formed a small committee for the first time, to assist in the organisation of the event and who had worked hard all the week, being present each day and who had provided invaluable assistance.
President Ann Lewis then offered her thanks for all those who had helped during the week before presenting the prizes.
Singles winner - David Kingdon, Runner up - Finley Williamson, losing semi-finalists - Jordan Driscoll and Mike Jackson.
Pairs winners - Jordan Driscoll and Gavin Rees, runners up - Neil Rees and Jonathan Webb. Losing semi-finalists - Cameron White and Dave Kingdon and Cally Jones and Kath Blayney (the first time ladies have reached this stage).
Plate singles winner - Neil Rees, runner up - Corey Bancroft.
