Saundersfoot Primary School will be closed today (Monday, September 30) after a tree came down on a road outside the premises on Sunday, during the stormy weather.
A spokesperson for the school shared on social media: “The high winds have caused significant damage, including downed trees in the area. Of particular concern is a dangerous tree trunk that has led to road closures on Church Terrace and the area near the BT Exchange, making access to the school impossible.
“For the safety of our pupils, staff, and community, we have made the necessary decision to close the school while clean-up and repair efforts are underway. We are working closely with local authorities and utility services to ensure the premises are safe and accessible before reopening.
“We anticipate resuming normal operations on Tuesday, as weather conditions are expected to improve, allowing for the safe removal of the damaged tree.
“We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.”
