Sir,

Can anyone please tell me what is happening to our once Blue Flag golden beaches?

Whilst walking on the North Beach last week, the first thing I noticed was that the bin at the bottom of the zigzag was overflowing, mainly with dog poo bags.

Obviously it hasn’t been emptied for quite some time and this is a regular occurrence.

Just past the cafe there are swaths of grass growing up against the wall hiding all kinds of rubbish.

There was a rusty post and even two iron crowbars, surely not washed up by the tide.

Someone suggested that the homeless be allowed to sleep in the arches over Christmas.

I doubt if anything would want to sleep inside them, let alone people as they have become rubbish dumps.

Tenby has become an all-year-round resort now and perhaps the council should remember the old adage ‘you never get a second chance to make a first impression’.

Miss Angela Tones,

Castle Square,

Tenby.
