Tenby in Bloom judges enjoyed sparkling seaside sunshine for their annual walkabout yesterday (July 17) with businesses, shops, restaurants, schools, hotels and households once again pulling out all the stops to help the town look blooming marvellous for the summer season ahead!

In Bloom committee members chair Sue Lane and Tish Rossiter were joined by judges David Lewis, Roger Davies and Ellie Griffin as they embarked on their journey around the town to see the wealth of floral flare and colourful displays.

The results will be revealed in due course, so keep an eye on the Observer’s website, Facebook and social media accounts for the winners.

The Serendipity Holdings Rose Bowl will once again be presented to the overall winner with the highest points.

Categories range from classes for private houses to hotels/guest houses; and public houses/restaurants to group projects; whilst there is also a category focusing on school projects. 

“Our Tenby in Bloom competitors, both private individuals and businesses, are a real credit to the town. They work tirelessly year after year to provide us with spectacular results, and then allow our judges into their cherished gardens,” said Sue.

Tenby in Bloom survives solely through generous donations from various organisations and individuals, as well as charity collections through events such as the Summer Spectaculars held down the harbour over August.
