With the festive period getting ever closer, preparations have started for this year’s spectacular ‘Pembrokeshire Christmas Convoy’ once again.
The annual event which sees tractors, trucks and all manner of vehicles (including Santa and his sleigh) joining in the fundraising fun will be taking place on Saturday, December 14.
Those that wish to take part and deck out their vehicles to bring some holiday magic to the coastal towns of West Pembrokeshire are encouraged to contact the organisers via their Facebook page or by ringing 07939 904995.
The convoy tends to leave Folly Farm overflow car park at around 5.30 pm on the day (time yet to be finalised) and make its way to places such as Begelly, Sageston, Tenby, New Hedges and Saundersfoot.
The flurry of lit-up vehicles that tour the locality are sure to bring a smile to faces once again, and it’s all for a worthy cause, with this year’s nominated charity being The Velindre Cancer Centre supporting Welsh comedian and presenter Rhod Gilbert with his fundraising efforts.
With regards to donations, there will be collectors stationed along the route with buckets before the convoy arrives and also for some time after the convoy has passed through.
