Following the closure of Oakwood Theme Park back in March, a Pembrokeshire politician is pushing for a ‘quick sale’ of the site, stating that the longer it stays empty, the quicker it will deteriorate.

Senedd Member for Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire Samuel Kurtz has called for a plan for the future of the premises, especially in light of ‘urban explorers’ being warned off the site, after several videos appeared of trespassers filming around the closed rides appeared on social media and YouTube.

"If this is a site that deteriorates, then we potentially lose the opportunity for a quick sale and turnaround to get this site back up and running, whatever that might be in the future," commented Mr Kurtz.

"It's such a great asset."
