The popular Welsh National Scooter Rally has reached Tenby for the May Bank holiday weekend.
Hundreds of scooter enthusiasts arrived at the seaside town once again on Friday evening to somewhat wet weather, but that didn’t dampen the spirits of those taking part in the event organised by the Scooter Collective South Wales, with sunny weather greeting all by Saturday morning.
The highlight once again was a ‘ride-out’ around the locality on Saturday afternoon, starting from the home of Tenby United RFC on Heywood Lane, and taking in the historic walled town, on a busy Bank Holiday weekend.
Running from May 3 to 6, other events include live entertainment such as The Specials Limited two-tone tribute bans performing at the De Valence Pavilion on the Friday night along with DJ Steve Foster. There will also be a Northern Soul room at the Ex-Servicemen’s Club on the same night, and a Reggae soul room at Tenby Rugby Club.
As well as the ride-out, on Saturday, a customs show/traders fair is being held at the Rugby Ground during the daytime; and more live entertainment during the evening, featuring Heavy Sol and DJ Terry Walters at the De Valence; and more music at the the Ex-Servicemen’s Club and Tenby Rugby Club.
The weekend will end with an end of rally party held at the Rugby Club on Upper Frog Street.
