Three years ago, a new mixed competition was introduced between clubs, called the Ping Challenge. Three pairs play a foursomes match format. Tenby has entered each year and has struggled to get past the first round.

However, this year it was three times lucky as the team was victorious against Borth and Ynyslas.

The new pairing of Emma Guerreiro and David Webb, with the married pairing of Chris and Carol Beecher, joined the organisers, Heather K. Morgan and Mervyn Tucker, on a dull, wet and windy course at Cardigan.

The final pair went to the 18th, but the first two had good wins, so the Tenby team goes through to the next round against Cradoc Golf Club, at a venue yet to be decided.
