Celebrating a year at the helm of Kilgetty’s White Horse Inn, landlord Anthony Phillips is delighted to welcome faces old and new to the popular Pembrokeshire pub.

“The first year has flown by and it’s been brilliant with plenty of support from the locals and also visitors to the village,” said Anthony, who is now bringing food back to the table at the Inn which is located on Station Road, only yards from the train station.

“We’ve recently reopened our kitchen doors and will be offering classic pub meals on the menu, served from 12 noon onwards from Wednesday to Saturday, as well as traditional Sunday lunches from 12 to 4.30 pm,” he continued.

As well as a well-stocked bar with plenty of Welsh ales on offer, all the major sporting events are screened at the White Horse, with full Sky Sports and BT packages showing Premier League and Champions League football.

Pool and darts teams also compete at the pub on Thursday and Friday evenings, with the league season now in full flow.

The White Horse has an outdoor seating area, smoking hut and its own car park too.

Even though there’s a jukebox on the premises with plenty of tunes to choose from, the White Horse also has live music from time to time, with local singers and musicians performing at the pub. Keep an eye on the pub’s Facebook page for up and coming events.

One event to look out for next month is a special ‘pub quiz’ being held at the White Horse with all proceeds raised going towards Children in Need.

So on Tuesday, November 17, brush up on your general knowledge, sport, music and film skills, and get down to the pub and enter for a good cause, at £5 per team, at 7.30 for an 8 pm start.
