Having decided they would like to spend the unexpected Bank Holiday together, members of the Tenby Project held their coffee morning as usual, with some tourists coming and joining in listening to the funeral on the radio, causing lots of interesting conversation.
After a walk down along the seafront and some sandcastle making, the group chose pizza and salad for lunch and decided to settle down to watch a film.
In honour of the big events of the day, The BFG was chosen because of the pivotal role of the Queen. Everyone agreed it is a great movie!
This week, on Monday there will be a coffee morning as usual in Augustus Place Community Hall (the blue hall just across the road from the multi-storey car park) from 10.30 am to 12, and after lunch, the group, and anyone else who would like to join in, will be heading up to Tenby Museum for the afternoon.
Everyone is also welcome to come along for the coffee morning, tea or coffee and biscuits are £1 and raffle tickets are £1.
The Tenby Project is a community interest company set up to offer a way for people with learning disabilities to play a full part in the life of the community, and would love to see more adults with learning difficulties come along and join the team.
All the activities are also open to anyone else in the community who would like to take part, it is a friendly welcoming group, so come along and see for yourself.
