CLARBESTON ROAD U16s 2
TENBY U16s 2
In their unfamiliar yellow away kit, Tenby started off much in the same vein as the previous encounter, with several opportunities going begging.
Goldie did come close on a couple of occasions and good movement from Joe saw his shot smack against the bar, but a Clarbie handball gave the visitors a penalty and a chance to break the deadlock, which Goldie took in some style.
At the other end, Toby worked hard to quell any threat Clarbie posed and Tenby went into the break with a slim advantage.
At the start of the second half, an enthusiastic Lander was introduced to provide some fire power up front and scored an early goal with ease.
As the game went on, the 'home' advantage really came to the fore and a goal from Clarbie signalled a change in the game.
Suddenly, the home side had the upper hand and Tenby scrambled to avoid the inevitable. Little could be done as Clarbie equalised and in spite of Tenby's efforts in the final quarter, the game ended in a draw.
Thanks to coaches John, John and Neil and the touchline gang.
Squad: George McBeth, Cheyne Lloyd, Tom Grover, Toby Rossiter, David Webb, Hugo Wellum, Joe Worley, Sam Butler, Jack Murphy, Callum Greer, Elliot Goldsmith, George Lander, Corey Hill, James Adie.
Lamphey u15s 1
Tenby u15s 0
This game resulted in a win for the home team by the narrowest of margins after Tenby had made a bright start up the slight slope.
Pressure at both ends saw Tenby have a seemingly good goal given, then disallowed after intervention by the home linesman. Shortly afterwards, a series of corners by Tenby saw Lamphey break loose and score on the counter-attack.
Tenby struck back strongly. In the Tenby goal Lewis Roberts made a brilliant save to keep the score down. At the other end, persistent Tenby pressure kept Lamphey on the back foot, but able to charge down any dangerous shots from the visitors.
Even though the score was 1-0 against them, Tenby looked as though they would equalise through wave upon wave of attacks.
Their shooting kept Branden Fienhage in the home goal relatively busy, but a lack of follow-up on loose balls, and then an unsuccessful claim for an alleged handball by the 'keeper saw Lamphey survive any equaliser and go into the next round of the League Cup.
All Tenby players used gave an energetic performance, but as before, at Lamphey, a win was not to be.
Tenby squad: Lewis Roberts, Jacob Dent, Shaun Whitfield, Nathan Wilson, George Wilkins, Richard Tebbutt, Niall Kinsella, James Bridges, Rhys Jenkins, Jerome Mansbridge, Norton Williams, Rheinalt George, Rob Davies, Ellis Morgan.

Road U14s 2
Tenby U14s 2
Another solid performance from the U14s gave them a share of the points in an entertaining top-of-the-table clash at Clarbeston Road on Saturday.
The Seasiders were almost back to full strength, with only Ben Roberts missing through injury, and midfielder Kieren Jones currently on trial with championship high-flyers Swansea City.
Tenby started the game brightly and controlled possession, with Sam Smith shooting just wide in the early moments. However, a quick break by Clarbeston Road and an unstoppable shot off the underside of the bar put the home side into the lead.
Buoyed by the early goal, Clarbie again surged forward and were awarded a free-kick on the edge of the penalty area. The ball was floated into the box and vollyed in to give the home side a two-goal advantage.
To Tenby's credit, they immediately fought back and put the home side under pressure, with Adam John battling brilliantly in midfield, Luke Hartland pushing forward from right back, and Scott Ferney making darting runs that unsettled the home defence.
Declan Escott was unlucky to see a 30-yard free-kick float just over, and Lloyd Hughes had a shot well saved by the Clarbie 'keeper, before Sam Smith swivelled away from a Clarbie defender and drove a great low shoot just inside the post to put the visitors back in the game.
The home side immediately came back on the attack, but couldn't find a way past Tenby's very experienced central defensive pairing of Owen Coombs and Spencer Williams.
Tenby finished the first half the stronger of the two sides. Callum Steele and Sam Smith both went close with headers, as Tenby won a series of corners. And Charlie Gammer fired just wide under pressure from a defender.
In the opening minutes of the second half, Tenby finally got their equaliser when Charlie Gammer fired in after strong work from Callum Steele, who had a fantastic game at left back, and constantly caused problems for Clarbie when pushing forward for set pieces.
In a frantic few final minutes, a long range effort from Declan Escott almost gave the points to Tenby, while at the other end, Dan Evans made a great save to deny Clarbie on the break, before Owen Coombs calmly cleared the ball off the goal-line.
Lloyd Hughes and Adam John also went close for Tenby in the closing stages.
And Clarbie had their chances too with a couple of late free-kicks in dangerous positions.
But at the final whistle, a draw seemed a fair result after an excellent game between two talented sides, which was a great advert for the future of football in West Wales.
Well done to both sets of players, and thanks to Tenby U14 kit sponsors, Park Road Fish and Chips, for their continued support.
WELLFIELD ATH. 1 TENBY 6
The Andrew Price sponsored Tenby U13s travelled to Llanelli for their second round West Wales Cup game and enjoyed a well earned 6-1 win.
The boys started really well and took control of the game. An early shot was only parried and, like any good striker, Louis followed it in and coolly slotted in the rebound to make it 1-0.
Only minutes later, a corner from the ever-improving George from the right was met by Harry, who with a bullet header made it 2-0.
Jack and Harri where working hard and kept Wellfield under the Cosh. It was Jack who scored the third after excellent work from Adam and Harri. And Louis then scored his second to make it 4-0 after only 10 minutes!
Tenby's fifth came from a good run and pass from Harri, who found Adam with his back to goal, and he laid off a lovely ball for Louis to smash home and notch a well-earned hat-trick.
The second half was much more of a game. Wellfield threw everything at Tenby and with Matthew, Ben and Jorden now under more pressure, they all worked hard to keep the home side out.
Frazer was a thorn in Wellfield's side, as was Jack, but after lots of pressure from the homesters, they got their deserved goal, much to the joy of their supporters.
This shook Tenby into getting their shape back and playing football again. Natty, who had nothing to do first half, was now working hard and showed his class with some great 'keeping,
Malley replaced Matthew and from his cross Jack made the score 6-1.
With all the possession, Tenby closed the game out and after all their hard work in the first half and patience in the second, the boys came away with an excellent win.
Team: Natty, Matthew, Ben, Harry, Jordan (capt.), Harri, Jack, Adam, Louis, George, Frazer, Malley.
