For the first half of the recent meeting and taking advantage of a warm sunny evening, members moved outside in the immediate locality with their cameras seeking that elusive 'shot of the day.'
The resultant prints, images etc. will be evaluated at the next meeting in the form of a critique by all concerned in assessing the various elements relating to the composition, settings and general camera use. This workshop will provide invaluable assistance to members old and new.
With two inter-club competitions coming up in the next month, the second part of the evening was spent in selecting from the best of the year's prints, slides and images.
As holder of the Sospan Trophy, the Tenby club is looking to retain the trophy for another year and with an influx of new members through the winter session, a range of what is expected to be a competitive catalogue of photographs and images has been assembled. Meetings for the summer session will be held on the second and fourth Thursday of the month, with the next on May 25, at 7.30 pm, at the Church Hall, St. Issell's Church, Saundersfoot. The club has its annual day trip on June 11, when the venue is Bath - at present there are a few seats available and you are welcome to contact the chairman, Mr. Doug Williams, on (01834) 811190, for further information.
