The recently opened Spa at Celtic Haven, Lydstep, held its first Open Event last Thursday.

Guests were invited to join the spa team in a glass of Champagne followed with on introductory talk by Liz Evans, spa manager.

A tour was given around Celtic Haven's five-star leisure facilities, including indoor heated swimming pool and air conditioned gymnasium, during which seven of the spa's specialised treatment rooms illustrated the treatments and equipment the spa has to offer.

Guests also enjoyed complimentary scalp and shoulder massages, and mini manicures.

Liz Evans said: "After opening the spa in May this year, we have had an extremely busy summer with residential guests. However, the purpose of these events is to make local people aware of our five-star spa facility. We house the only Aromatherm Capsule in the UK, which was exclusively shipped over from American, and which functions as a hydrotherapy bath, steam capsule, Vichy shower and wet table."

With over 80 treatments, the spa incorporates Thalgo and Elemis, its main product ranges, into sensational massages and facials, as well as having St. Tropez air, Caci anti-cellulite technology, E-life non surgical face-lift and body toning, and Ellipse permanent hair removal.

"The first event was a huge success, and with more planned throughout November and December, we would love to invite locals to come and join us for a drink," concluded Liz.
