Pupils at Pembrokeshire Leisure School of Dance have stepped their way to the top at a major competitive dance event.
The dancers took first, second and third positions at the UKA Medallist Competitions held in Chepstow earlier this month.
The dancers received 96 first placements, 85 second placements and 47 third placements. In all a total of 228 trophies were won by Pembrokeshire Leisure pupils, who competed across a range of styles including freestyle/disco, classical ballroom, Latin and modern sequences. The school also took the overall freestyle/disco shield for the third year running, along with the overall classical shield. Adjudicator Ansell Chezan awarded the up and coming youth trophy in Latin to nine-year-old Daniel Kynoch, of Haverfordwest.
The event attracted competitors from all over Wales and the West Country ranging in age from four to senior citizen. It covered all grades from the absolute beginner to the experienced medallist grade.
Anyone wishing to take up dancing can find classes in all sections of dance at Milford Haven Leisure Centre, Haverfordwest Leisure Centre, Fishguard Leisure Centre and Tenby Leisure Centre.
