John Loring (caretaker/manager St. Catherine’s Island) presented a donation to Mrs. Sioned King (FP teacher and deputy safeguarding officer) at Ysgol Hafan y Môr School, Tenby, contributing to the fundraising work already completed by all the pupils, staff, teachers and supporters in raising funds to purchase a defibrillator.
John Loring stated: “It was an absolute pleasure to meet the school council made up of pupils from within the school and present them with a contribution towards achieving their goal of £1,500 to purchase and fit a defibrillator.
“The donation, from the Fry Foundation Fund - St. Catherine’s Island Fort Project, is in recognition of all the work they have done so far in raising funds and it’s hoped will help them to successfully reach their target.
“The island would like to thank Vicky Griffiths (headteacher), Sioned King, Debra Rossiter and all the school council for their kind hospitality, professionalism and friendly welcome; it was a pleasure to meet you all. We wish all the staff, teachers and pupils all the very best for the future.”
