Concerns over speeding in and around Begelly and Kilgetty have been flagged-up once again following concerns raised by residents.
In a report to the Community Council from the County Councillor for the ward, Cllr Alistair Cameron said that Pembrokeshire County Council had carried out speed checks in New Road, Begelly and Carmarthen Road, Kilgetty (near the school) in light of concerns being highlighted.
For Carmarthen Road the recorded 85th percentile speeds were 21 to 22 mph.
For New Road, the recorded 85th percentile speeds were 28 to 29 mph.
Cllr Cameron told community councillors that the data for New Road had been forwarded to Dyfed-Powys Police, together with a request for enforcement, i.e. mobile speed cameras.
