Speeding concerns and the volume of traffic on the Moreton to Wooden has been brought to the attention of Pembrokeshire Council’s highways department - with a view to looking at improvements for the route.

Saundersfoot county councillor Chris Williams has discussed the impact of such concerns on residents and business owners with East Williamston county councillor Cllr Jacob Williams with regards to this ‘busy road’.

“In the meantime I did have a meeting with Clare Williams, senior traffic and road safety engineer at Pembrokeshire Council,” said Cllr Williams.

“We discussed the volume of traffic, speed and the many access points off this main road.

“We also met the owner of the Four Seasons Farm Shop and Florist to listen to their views and that of their customers and local residents.

“From the discussion it was thought that PCC would look to potentially install an indicator to monitor important driving data from this road.

“I do feel that collating data is a good tool to look at how improvements, if any, are needed on this stretch of road,” he added.

White lines have subsequently been freshened up; the SLOW sign repainted; and the markings clearly reinstalled outside the farm shop.
