Councillors in Penally are to seek speed warning signs for the village.
At the recent meeting of Penally Community Council, members discussed the results of a seven-day speed survey that had been conducted for the village.
Cllr Snow reported that the survey revealed that 84% of all traffic during the monitoring period travelled under 25mph. The threshold for enforcement is 26mph.
The Clerk presented examples of speeding signs available, with further quotes to be sought.
It was agreed to contact Pembrokeshire County Council’s Highways department to seek advice on the best location for speed alert signage.
County Councillor Phil Kidney reported that an officer from PCC would attend the next meeting to discuss options regarding the prevention of speeding along the Penally by-pass.
