This year's Hunt Week will be the 25th since the present committee re-started the great tradition which is nearly 200 years old.
To celebrate the anniversary we are holding a Thanksgiving Service at St. Oswald's Church, Jeffreyston, on Wednesday, November 21, at 7.30 pm, by kind permission of Father Paul Davies. The service will include readings from our Masters and members of the South Pembs interspersed by hymns and an address by Father Paul. Please come along and join us in our celebration which will be followed by refreshments in the Church Hall. The rest of Hunt Week will be very much as in the past few years, kicking off with the Charity Quiz on Monday, November 19, at Swallow Tree Gardens, at 8 pm. The first night of Variety Show will be at the RAOB Club on Tuesday, November 20, and second on Thursday, November 22.
The finale of our Hunt Week is, as always, the Hunt Ball, which will be at the De Valence, Tenby, on Saturday, November 24. If the success of last year's ball is anything to go by, then tickets are going to be at a premium. Thanks to the wonderful organisation of Karen, Yvonne and Anna.
Meets will be Monday at Kilgetty Farm, Wednesday at Trevayne and Saturday at East Tarr, where the Howells trophy will be presented to the best turned out Junior Combination for the 25th time. Judging the competition this year will be our very first judge, Mrs. Diana Mathias, and the first winner, Rachel Knox.
Following Hunt Week, we have our annual Charity Variety Show on Tuesday, November 27, at the RAOB Club, Kilgetty. The charity this year is the 'Ollie Morgan Memorial Fund (Ty Hafan)' and the Mountain Rescue Service in memory of young Ollie who so tragically lost his life during the summer.
As always, we appeal for donations or gifts for the raffle and auction to support the charity night. Once again we thank you for the wonderful kindness and generosity we have received in the past and we look forward to having you with us in this very special year.
