The new exhibition of sculpture, It's Marbleous by Darren Yeadon was officially opened at Tenby Museum and Art Gallery on the roasting hot night of Friday, July 19.

The exhibition features fourteen stunning works in sandstone, Preseli bluestone, Kilkenny limestone, Carrara marble and Portoro marble.

The exhibition was formally opened by Dr. Mike Brew, vice-chairman of trustees, who thanked everyone for attending on such a warm evening and congratulated Darren on the magnificent work.

Darren spoke briefly about his work process stating: "To me a finished piece is the beginning. I see a piece in my head first and then make it. It is almost a backwards process for me. Carrara marble is a beautiful material and I love working in this wonderful material."

This sales exhibition runs until Sunday, September 1. There is an opportunity to talk to Darren about his work on a Meet the Artists event at the museum today (Friday, July 26) between 10.30 am and 12.30 pm.
