The last item Saundersfoot Rotary Club published in the Observer concerned the organisation’s project of collecting shoes from within the local community.

“The primary schools within Saundersfoot district were helpful with parents and children donating good usable quality shoes for this ongoing project,” said Rotarian Brian Jenkins.

“Not only do we thank them for their continued support, but would also like to thank many of the general public from Tenby, Saundersfoot and surrounding areas who had read our article in the local Tenby Observer popular press.”

Pictured are the bags of shoes which were collected recently and picked up with the support of transport via Tenby Salvation Army.

“This is an ongoing project, so please do not send your shoes to landfill dumps - they are better going to aid people less well off than ourselves here and in other countries,” added Brian.
