A three-part proposal to improve pedestrian and cyclist access in Saundersfoot needs input from the public - with public drop-in consultations taking place in the seaside village this month.

Pembrokeshire County Council is consulting on Active Travel plans for the village that focus on Stammers Road, Sandy Hill Road and Frances Road.

Plans include the creation of Shared Use Paths for pedestrians and cyclists along with traffic calming measures, crossing points and widened footways to improve routes from the Harbour, the A478 and Coppet Hall Beach.

Public drop-in sessions will be held on Tuesday, November 19, at the Coal Building, Saundersfoot Harbour, at 10am to 12pm, 1pm to 4pm and 6.30pm to 8pm.

The sessions will have representatives from Pembrokeshire County Council, to answer any questions that may arise.

Following this one-day event, for those who are unable to attend in person, an online public survey will be made available and can be accessed, via: https://www.pembrokeshire.gov.uk/have-your-say/consultations

The online survey will remain available for four weeks concluding on December 17, 2024.

The original date for the consultation launch (November 5) had to be cancelled due to technical issues, and Pembrokeshire Council apologies for any inconvenience caused.
