The Saundersfoot Probus Club held its AGM on Wednersday at the Sports Club, Saundersfoot. The current president, Rodney Jameson, handed over the badge of office to the new president, James Morris.

The new president then handed over the vice- president's badge of office to John Parker. Rodney Jameson will now take over as treasurer, with John Whittaker as social events secretary and John Parker continuing to arrange all luncheons. The previous treasurer, Mike Evans, gave up his post after giving a number of years of excellent service to the club.

The outgoing president gave warm thanks to all officers that served for the 2006 period. There then followed a normal meeting, with many suggestions and recommendations for the current year. The club looks forward to a busy year with interesting talks by visiting speakers together with ladies' luncheons and visits to various places of interest.

The new president announced a vital issue for 2007 was to attract new members from the local area to make up for the natural wastage. The club wishes to attract new members to enjoy a forum where semi-retired or retired people of Saundersfoot and district can discuss topics of mutual interest and spend a few hours on the second and fourth Wednesday at 10.30 each month in a convivial atmospere at the Sports Club, Regency Hall, Saundersfoot.

The club's activities include club outings to places of interest and lunches when wives and friends are invited. The club fees are only £10 a year, so if you need a little something extra in your life, just ring James Morris on 01834 842234 - you will receive a warm welcome
