While World Book Day officially taking place today (March 7), Saundersfoot Library kicked off the celebrations early this week.
On Tuesday morning you might have spotted Martin Hanford's iconic Wally from 'Where's Wally?' helping customers find their next great read or Eric Carle's insatiable 'Very Hunger Caterpillar' putting together a cookery book display and handing out food waste bags! In the afternoon, customers were greeted by a swashbuckling Jan Stradling pirate and an enthusiastic Amber Brown from Paula Danzinger's series.
Rumour has it that Val McDermid's no-nonsense detective Vera could be on duty on this morning's shift although with an eclectic bunch of volunteers you could also bump into to J.M Barrie's Tinkerbell or someone from Victor Hugo's Les Misérables!
The volunteers have loved being able to celebrate World Book Day in a fun and engaging way despite the library not being open on the actual day.
Saundersfoot Library is open Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10 am and 4pm; and on Saturdays, from 10 am to 1pm.
