Work will be begin next week to carry out safety improvements on a narrow road connecting Coppet Hall to Saundersfoot.

The works to carry out highway improvements on Frances Road, Coppet Hall will be carried out by Pembrokeshire County Council’s engineering department, with the contractor due onsite from Monday, February 17.

Saundersfoot Community Concil has stated that the reasoning behind the design for this project is to educate motorists of the road narrowing risk ahead, which cannot be removed due to the geography of the surrounding highway boundary and third party land ownership.

Signage regarding potential pedestrians within the highway and of the hazard crated by the narrow carriageway section is to be added to educate drivers.

The design is said to meet all required standards set out and has been part of a road safety audit review.
