Congratulations to Lower Sixth pianist, Sabrina Morgan, a specialist music student at Wells Cathedral School, who took part in the celebrated Bristol Festival of Music, Speech and Drama 2020 over the weekend, winning The Carol Barratt Trophy.

Sabrina, from Tenby, performed in two keyboard classes in the 17 Years and Under section of the competition, winning the Post 1900 Piano Class, and coming second in the Pre 1900 Piano Class. She was awarded two distinctions by the section adjudicator.

The Bristol Festival, formerly known as The Bristol Eisteddfod, is an annual event featuring a wide range of competitive musical instrument and vocal classes. The festival provides entrants with the opportunity to perform before an audience, and classes are judged by professional adjudicators who provide verbal and written assessments to help the entrants further develop their talents. The festival is held in various venues during the 3-4 weeks prior to the end of the Lent Term. Sabrina performed at Redmaids High School in Westbury-on-Trym.
