Tonight (Wednesday) with road surface temperatures forecast to dip to -5°C with a possibility of some sleet or even snow falling on the highest ground, Pembrokeshire Council’s gritters will be out.

A Yellow MET Office warning for ice and snow is in place overnight and into the morning. Tomorrow (Thursday) road surfaces are forecast to remain below freezing for a sustained period until mid-morning.

“We will therefore be carrying out precautionary salting of the County’s primary and secondary routes this evening and overnight,” said a PCC spokesperson.

“Road users are advised to take care if travelling on untreated roads.”
