Narberth’s Mayor, Clr. Chris Walters has praised the town’s citizens for the excellent turnout for the recent Remembrance Sunday parade.
Hundreds of people gathered at the cenotaph in the town to commemorate and remember all those who gave their lives for Britain and the Commonwealth.
Clr. Walters made the remarks at a town council meeting which was held on Tuesday.
He said he was delighted with the turnout, especially with the Cadets from all the armed forces and the Scouts.
He was also pleased that the memorial bench was finally unveiled to the public.
The new bench marks the 100 years since the first two-minute silence was observed on Armistice Day and was finally revealed after 12 months of hard work by the town council.
