Local Labour MP Henry Tufnell has highlighted the positive aspects of the 2024 UK Budget.

“It was fantastic to see a positive budget that sets out the change this government wants to make,” he posted on his Facebook page on October 31.

According to Tufnell, key highlights of the budget for Pembrokeshire and Wales are:

£21bn dedicated to Welsh public services, the largest boost since devolution; £1.7bn to strengthen NHS Wales for faster and better healthcare;£100m to support steel communities in Port Talbot, driving town regeneration; £320m in new Investment Zones across Wales including support for a hydrogen project in Milford Haven - to support low carbon hydrogen production and directly create good quality local jobs and £25m for coal tip safety, protecting communities.
