Senedd Member for Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire has spoken of a ‘disheartening’ rise in unemployment for Wales.
Commenting on the latest labour market statistics for Wales revealing a rise in unemployment to 4%, Welsh Conservative Shadow Economy Minister, Samuel Kurtz MS said: “This is disheartening news following a turbulent number of months in Wales, where Labour ministers have taken their eye off the ball.
“The Welsh economy needs steady stewardship to reverse this trend but with three First Minister’s just this year, Wales isn’t getting it from Labour.
“Labour has the wrong priorities, we don’t need more politicians, we need more Welsh jobs.
“The focus must return to fostering the environment, through upskilling and educational opportunities, for growth in the economy again.”
