The candidates that will be standing in the constituency of Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire at the upcoming general election have been announced.

Simon Anthony Hart who currently holds the seat for the Welsh Conservatives will be hoping to see off the competition and keep his spot in the House of Commons.

Marc Liam Tierney of the Welsh Labour Party will be looking to capture the seat which the party held until 2010 election.

Also standing is Alistair Ronald Cameron from the Welsh Liberal Democrats and Glanville Owen Rhys Thomas from Plaid Cymru.

The Brexit Party had previously said it would not put up candidates in areas where the Conservatives won seats in 2017.

There is also no candidate from the Welsh Green Party.

The general election takes place on December 12.
