The 3rd Pembroke Sea Scout Group have recently received notification from Pembrokeshire County Council that, following 50 years of occupation at Pembroke Dock Youth Centre, the authority are asking the group to vacate the outside storage unit.

The storage unit presently accommodates all of the group’s camping, canoeing, sailing, climbing and auxiliary equipment and is to make way for the council’s outdoor equipment which is being moved from the soon to be decommissioned premises at Pier Road, Pembroke Dock.

The council have requested that they vacate by April 1, 2016, and they have not given an alternative storage solution close to youth centre where they meet weekly.

It is because of this problem that the group is asking if there are any persons or organisations who have any garages, workshops, lock-up or premises, which they could rent/lease at a nominal fee, as they are a charitable group in a deprived area working with the youth of the community, and are desperate.
