The beach ban on dogs across some of Pembrokeshire’s beaches finally comes to an end on October 1, but those persistently breaking the rules over the summer months has left one county councillor feeling frustrated.

“It is annoying that these rules aren’t being observed by everyone but in life there are a small minority who feel they are entitled to do whatever they want,” remarked county councillor for Saundersfoot’s south ward Cllr Chris Williams, whose main beach comes under the restrictions which started on May 1.

“It’s extremely disappointing to listen to the local residents’ concerns.

“I have touched base with the enforcement team when calls come through, with numerous penalties handed out to those offending,” he added.
