Pupils at Pennar Community School take centre stage this (Friday) evening on BBC One Wales helping past pupil, broadcaster Jamie Owen, film a new documentary.
The Wales Today presenter has filmed a documentary as part of BBC Wales' Live Longer Wales season, where he has looked into his future, and set himself a personal challenge of losing one stone in just two months, to help tackle and avoid future health problems.
Jamie returned to his old school to enlist the children's help in analysing why Britain has a seemingly unfixable weight problem.
The children discussed what they ate and drank - who skipped breakfast - who did the cooking and how much exercise they undertook.
The programme includes ground-breaking footage using MRI scans to look inside the body.
During the course of the television experiment, without resorting to diets and weight loss products, Jamie lost a stone-and-a-half in weight
The programme, called 'Fat and Fortysomething', will be shown tonight (Friday) at 8.30 pm, on BBC One Wales.
