Thanks to National Lottery players, Pembrokeshire Young Onset Dementia are able to provide a Day Service to help their community adapt, recover and thrive.
Pembrokeshire Young Onset Dementia successfully applied for a grant of £73,523 which has been awarded over a three-year period from The National Lottery Community Fund.
Cherry Evans, Trustee / Secretary of Pembrokeshire Young Onset Dementia said:
“We are delighted to be awarded the grant which will enable Pembrokeshire to have a Day Service specific for people living with young onset dementia.
“The service will provide respite, peer support and opportunities for people with young onset dementia to engage in age-appropriate activities that help to maintain skills, increase self-confidence and independence, improve mental and physical wellbeing, reduce social isolation, and enable them to continue enjoying life to the best of their ability.”
