A Pembrokeshire store’s ‘singing Penguin trio’ have helped raise a magnificent £3,575.30 towards the Get The Boys A Lift charity.

Vincent Davies Department Store in Haverfordwest recently presented their ‘Charity Of The Year 2023’ Get The Boys A Lift, with a huge cheque for £11,022.31 - with the singing penguins - The Snow Drifters’ donation box contributing £3,575.30 towards the grand total raised.

Get The Boys A Lift (GTBAL) are a non-for-profit organisation offering free and accessible mental health support for the people of Pembrokeshire and have recently opened their new premises in Bridge Street.

Ryan Evans, director at GTBAL said that the money raised will go towards further decreasing the waiting time for free counselling. We would like to wish them all the best.

The charity was voted for by the whole team at Vincent Davies where fundraising included an Easter Bingo, a Quiz Night, Collection Boxes, as well as Charity Jam Jars, Staff Sales, Christmas Jumper Days and more.

Vincent Davies Department Store is pleased to announce that it will proudly be supporting The Catrin Vaughan Foundation for 2024.

The foundation has been set up in Catrin’s memory, to help children with additional learning needs within Pembrokeshire with the provision of facilities and equipment not normally provided by the local education authority.

These children just need that little bit extra to achieve some of the things that other children can do.

Former Vincent Davies team member, Catrin, was passionate about helping them find their strengths and skills, which is what the foundation hope they can continue to do.
