The company which prints The Pembrokeshire Herald, in Milford Haven has ceased operations the paper’s editor has confirmed today.

In a statement on the publication’s website, editor Thomas Sinclair said that they were ‘absolutely devastated’ that after nearly seven years the paper ‘can no longer continue’.

24 members of staff working at the newspaper have been given notice of redundancy.

Director of Herald News UK Limited, John Hammond said that the company accountant could be appointing administrators as soon as next week, stating: “The owners of The Pembrokeshire Herald came to the conclusion last night during a finance meeting that the venture is no longer financially viable.”
