A tour organised by the Pembrokeshire National Trust Association finally took place during May 15 to 19, after being postponed for two years because of covid.
A variety of National Trust properties were visited, including Attingham, Quarry Bank Mill, Speke Hall and Bodnant Gardens. The intrepid travellers also experienced a ride on the Anderton Boat Lift, with a fifty foot descent from the Trent and Mersey Canal to the River Weaver. The final day a guided tour of Chester introduced those on the trip to the amphitheatre, the race course and the historic buildings of the city centre. All Pembrokeshire National Trust Association members present appreciated this opportunity to travel again, with the previous tour being to Dorset in 2019.
Anyone, including Non Members of the National Trust, can now join the local Pembrokeshire Association and take part in a range of walks and talks around the County. Visit www.pembsnta.org.uk for details.
