Putting Tenby on the map in a highly competitive gin market from around the world, Pembrokeshire Gin Co.’s ‘Rosemary and Citrus Gin’ has been awarded ‘The Best in Wales’ at The Gin Guide Awards for 2020.

At the Awards’ most international selection of winners to date - including winning gins from Slovenia, Singapore and New Zealand - Pembrokeshire Gin Co whose shop The Cranny is located on Tenby High Street were also highly commended in the London Dry Gin category, and The Contemporary Gin category.

The Awards showcases the success and impressive development of the global gin industry, with gins from more than 30 countries competing in categories based on production methods, styles of gin, and countries of production.

The winners are selected through a rigorous blind tasting process conducted by a large panel of distinguished gin experts, distillers, retailers and mixologists.

Each gin’s appearance, aroma, flavour, mouthfeel, finish and overall quality and market appeal are assessed to determine the highest scoring gins, based purely on the spirit itself and with no influence from branding or marketing.

Tenby Gin is now multi-award winning, and whilst it is not currently distilled in Tenby, the owners of the company Charlotte Clark and John Mather have their feet firmly planted in the town with The Cranny and their other business The Nook on St Julians Street.

Pembrokeshire Gin Co which was also featured in the March 2020 edition of GQ magazine, continue to keep everyone in high ‘spirits’ during the lockdown, as although their Tenby store The Cranny is currently closed, they continue to offer free local delivery and free postage on all their online orders.
